DOH Invites Public Comment on Mental Health Block Grant

Health Commissioner-Designee Julia Sheen announced today that the Proposed Mental Health Block Grant Application for the Department’s Division of Mental Health, Alcoholism, and Drug Dependency Services is available for review and public comment territorywide. 

The application details the Mental Health Division’s plan for improving services to the mentally ill population in the Virgin Islands. The grant will allow the Department of Health to provide evaluation and treatment intervention services to adults with serious mental illness and children with a severe emotional disturbance. Copies of the application will be available for public comment at these locations:
