Department of Health clients should contact a clinic in their respective district to reschedule appointments scheduled between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. today, Acting Commissioner Clarke said Monday.
In the St. Croix district, clients should call 773-1311, Ext. 3222 and 774-7477 in the St. Thomas-St. John district to reschedule appointments in anticipation of potential problems maneuvering around the island in the wake of Tropical Storm Irene.
Meanwhile, DOH employees are asked to report to work, as soon as it is safe to do so, to assist with the post-storm assessment.
Clarke also thanked employees and clinical staff who manned the Department’s Emergency Operations Center and Special Needs Shelters, respectively, in the St. Croix and St. Thomas-St. John districts Sunday night at the height of Tropical Storm Irene, for their support in ensuring that residents' medical needs were met during an emergency. |
