Commissioner Nominee Michelle S. Davis, PhD, has suspended all services at the Charles Harwood Memorial Medical Facility in Christiansted, for the remainder of the day.

Two New Zika Cases Confirmed in the U.S. Virgin Islands
As reported in today’s Zika surveillance report, the Virgin Islands Department of Health confirmed one additional case of Zika on St. Croix and one in St. Thomas. The total confirmed Zika cases is now 16; 14 of which are on St. Croix and two on St. Thomas.

Virgin Islands Department of Health Immunization Clinics to Reduce Services on Monday
Health Commissioner, Michelle S. Davis, would like to announce that the Immunization Clinics in both the St. Croix and St. Thomas districts, will be operating on a “reduced services” schedule on Monday, April 25, 2016.

Department of Health Confirms a Case of Zika in a Pregnant Woman
As reported in today’s Zika surveillance report, the Virgin Islands Department of Health confirmed one additional case of Zika on St. Croix, bringing the total to 14 cases. This is not unexpected, and the Department of Health expects that there will continue to be more positive cases in the future.

Department of Health Confirms One New Case of Zika on St. Croix
As of April 5, 2016 the CDC has confirmed one new case of Zika this week, as reported in today’s Zika surveillance report. The total confirmed Zika have increased to 13, 12 of which are on St. Croix and one on St. Thomas.

Department of Health Confirms Four New Dengue Cases, No New Zika Cases
No new cases of Zika were confirmed this week, as reported in today’s Zika surveillance report. The total confirmed Zika cases remain at 12, 11 of which are on St. Croix and one on St. Thomas. The Virgin Islands Department of Health has confirmed four new cases of dengue.

Department of Health Urges Zika Precautions Over Holiday Weekend
The Virgin Islands Department of Health is urging USVI residents to take precautions to prevent mosquito bites while camping over the holiday weekend.
