Wassup Health Fanatics!
Today, I bring you Eat Stop Eat by Brad Pilon. Brad says that he’s found “The Shocking Truth That Makes Weight Loss Simple Again.” He said that with his fasting method, you’re able to lose weight in an enjoyable fashion without restricting yourself from your favorite foods.
In this review, I’m going to see if Eat Stop Eat is the amazing weight loss product that Brad claims it to be so that you can walk away as a healthier, fitter, and ultimately happier version of you.
Let’s do this.
The 15-Second Eat Stop Eat Review
If you really can’t be bothered to read the whole review, I’ve got you fam. Here’s the quick verdict:
Eat Stop Eat is a tremendous weight loss product especially for those who are new or relatively new to fasting.
It contains tons of high-quality information on the benefits of fasting with a bunch of references and studies to back up his claims. Whether you’re a complete newbie to fasting, or you’re a fasting veteran, there’s so much valuable information in this book that’s beneficial for anyone looking to lose weight with fasting.
However, there is something that I want you to know – the actual fasting protocol itself can be summed up in a page or two. The majority of this book is educating the reader on the benefits of fasting. In my opinion, this is a good thing because if Brad Pilon were to say to you “don’t eat for 24 hours,” it wouldn’t be as effective as educating you on the benefits of fasting and THEN laying down the protocol.
The Eat-Stop-Eat Method Is Simple Yet Effective
The first reason why Eat Stop Eat is such a great product is because it’s incredibly simple yet effective. To begin with, Brad Pilon has addressed the fact that to lose weight you need to be in a calorie deficit. Here’s an excerpt from his sales page.
He also addresses that it’s one of the two absolute truths about weight loss after reading and studying health and nutrition since he was ten years old.
Now you’re possibly thinking to yourself, “Danyon, I already know that! Why are you stating the obvious?”
Mate, that’s exactly my thought process as well! You’d think that every weight loss product in the world would include the calorie deficit principle considering the fact that it’s a requirement for weight loss. But nope, other so-called “weight loss products” such as The Fat Diminisher System and the Red Smoothie Detox Factor managed to leave out this one essential weight loss principle.
With this principle in mind, the reason why the Eat Stop Eat fasting protocol is so effective is because of its simplicity. Your body is almost automatically put into a caloric deficit when you fast for 24 hours once or twice a week and adhere to an exercise routine.
Brad Pilon Has Included Proven High-Quality Fasting Information
Like I said, at least half of this book is valuable information for the reader on the benefits of fasting. Brad Pilon has done a tremendous job on this by including over 100 pages of high-quality information with many references to back up his claims.
Here’s a quick glance at the contents page.
He dives deep into the concept of how high Insulin levels prevents your body from burning fat, and fasting is one of the most effective methods to drop your insulin levels is by fasting.
He’s also added information about how beneficial Growth Hormone is for the body, and how fasting can increase the amount of GH that your body produces.
Now if these claims were all stated without any references or studies to back it up, then it’d be a bunch of nonsense to me. But Brad Pilon has done his homework and provides over 20 pages of references and scientific studies to reinforce his claims.
Talk about solidified information!
The Eat Stop Eat Protocol Includes Realistic Projections
For those of you who have read my past reviews, you know that I’m a stickler for realistic projections. I believe that if you’re looking to lose weight, you should take a long-term, permanent approach. You should be realistic in the fact that you’re probably going to slip up now and then. You should be realistic in the fact that you’re probably not going to lose “12 to 23 pounds of stubborn body fat in just 21 days” like The 3 Week Diet suggests.
Brad Pilon has included a number of realistic projections in his Eat Stop Eat protocol. To begin with, he says that his fasting protocol isn’t anything magical or new. The “secret sauce” is that you that you don’t need to reach a caloric deficit on a daily basis, and you don’t have to give up your favorite foods; this provides a bit of psychological relief to the reader since you’re allowed to eat some of your guilty pleasure foods.
He also reinforces in the book that fasting for 24 hours doesn’t mean that you’re allowed to pig out as soon as it’s time to feast.
He also says in his book that any food can be fit into a balanced diet and help you to lose weight.
He’s also included the exact reasons as to why short term dieting is not effective as an approach to weight loss.
So why are realistic projections beneficial for you? Because in order to lose weight, you need to be able to follow a few key habits for a prolonged period of time. Take a look at this study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine: For ten years, a group of researchers followed 3000 individuals who successfully lost at least 30 pounds and kept it off for at least one year.
As you can expect, the researchers found that “…a larger initial weight loss and longer duration of maintenance were associated with better long-term outcomes.” This means that it’s okay to lose a large amount of weight initially as long as you can maintain those habits. J. Graham Thomas, the leader of the research group, concluded that “…long-term weight loss maintenance is possible, but it requires persistent adherence to a few key health behaviors.”
Once again, Brad Pilon is back at it again with the realistic projections. That’s a golden star for you, Brad!
Eat Stop Eat Final Rating: A+
Brad Pilon has gone the extra mile to create a fasting protocol that will help you to lose weight permanently and in an enjoyable fashion. He’s added a tremendous amount of valuable information concerning fasting and over 20 pages of studies and research to back it up. He’s added realistic projections in saying that this is a long-term approach that requires just a little bit of self-control over 24 hours. For that reason, I’ll happily give this product an A+.
