Commissioner Davis to Unveil New Technology for Healthier Mothers and Children in the Territory
On Tuesday, May 10, 11:30 am, in St. Croix and on Thursday, May 12, at 11:30 am in St. Thomas, Commissioner Nominee, Michelle S. Davis and, the USVI Maternal Child Health and Children With Special Care Needs Program, and St. Andrew Development will unveil a new interactive wellness kiosk and tablet program that provides important health information, especially for women.

Commissioner Nominee Michelle S. Davis, PhD, is resuming all services at the Charles Harwood Memorial Medical Facility in Christiansted. “We are happy to have fully restored power and function to the Charles Harwood Facility and look forward to serving the needs of the community,” said Dr. Davis.

Five New Zika Cases Confirmed in the U.S. Virgin Islands; Two Among Pregnant Women
Today the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Health reports five new cases of Zika, two are among pregnant women. There are now a total of 21 confirmed Zika cases in the USVI; with the first case being confirmed in St. John, 15 cases remaining in St. Croix, and five on St. Thomas.
