H1N1 Vaccinations for the Public Scheduled
Earlier
today, Health Commissioner Julia Sheen announced that H1N1 vaccine is now available to the general public and
that residents can get vaccinated during free mass vaccinations that the Department of Health will conduct territorywide
between January 11-23, 2010.

Pediatric Vaccines Not Found in USVI
Health Commissioner Julia Sheen said
earlier today that there are no safety concerns for children six months to 35 months who received H1N1 vaccines that are part of a voluntary recall by a manufacturer of pediatric vaccines.

Health Commissioner Julia Sheen and Education Commissioner Dr. LaVerne Terry announced
today that beginning next week, free H1N1 vaccines will be offered to students in the Territory.

Warns of Unapproved and Illegal H1N1 Drug Products
Purchased Over the Internet
DOH Commissioner Julia
Sheen, along with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration,
is warning consumers to use extreme care when purchasing
any products over the Internet that claim to diagnose,
prevent, treat or cure the H1N1 influenza virus.

responsible for helping each person live a
life free from the threat of communicable
diseases, tainted food, and dangerous

regulate health care providers, facilities,
and organizations, and manage direct services
